Brendan Welsh OAM

Founding Member and Chair

Brendan has founded and owned a number of specialist technology organisations since 1984. Brendan has over 40 years experience in the IT industry, and specialises in IT sourcing, benchmarking, IT strategy and IT contract negotiations. Brendan also provides angel investments and mentoring to Australian technology startups.

Cathy Welsh

Founding Member and Board Member

Cathy is a former sales and marketing executive in the financial services sector. She has also held various positions over the years for not for profit organisations. Following the completion of her MBA, Cathy worked as a political staffer in the Prime Minister’s Office and now enjoys working with the Foundation’s partners and mentoring our wonderful scholars.

Kate Halley

Board Member

Kate was a journalist who has worked as a communications officer for disability and cancer charities and in the not for profit sector since 2009. She began work with the Foundation in 2018. She has volunteered with the Edmund Rice Centre. As well as her work with the Foundation, she mentors young women from the Sudanese community.
